Help Shape Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival – August 2026
Across Forth Valley, there are already many fantastic groups, projects, organisations, and individuals making a positive difference for nature and local communities. From community gardens and wildlife surveys to nature walks, habitat restoration projects, outdoor learning, and citizen science, there is a huge amount of activity happening across the region.
The Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival aims to celebrate, connect, and support these existing efforts by bringing activities together under a shared festival banner.
We believe biodiversity is something worth exploring, celebrating, and championing. That’s why we’re developing a month-long programme of activities, events, learning opportunities, volunteering, creativity, and action that will help people connect with nature and discover how they can make a difference.
Whether you’re already running biodiversity-focused projects or simply have ideas you’d like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you and explore how we can work together to make this festival a success.
Host an Event – We’re inviting anyone with an idea to get involved by hosting an event as part of the festival programme.
The Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival is an opportunity to celebrate and explore the amazing wildlife, habitats and community action taking place across the region. We’re inviting events of all shapes and sizes – from wildlife walks, BioBlitzes and citizen science activities to gardening workshops, foraging sessions, talks, film screenings and family-friendly outdoor events.
August is a wonderful time to connect with nature in Forth Valley, with pollinators, butterflies, dragonflies, bats, wildflowers and hedgerow fruits all on display. If your event helps people discover, enjoy or take action for nature, we’d love to include it in the festival programme.
