From zero (biodiversity) to hero! Small village projects that have made a big impact in Slamannan

Join the Slamannan Library Garden Club for a guided tour and talk about the new community ‘pocket park’ in the village centre and other green spaces we’ve created.

Meet us in the park, where we will be talking about the history of the site (formerly the Royal Hotel), the creation of the new park, the planting design and the beautiful plants that we’ve placed across the community that help support and promote biodiversity. Following the tour, there will be a Q&A about plants and planting, and you can learn more about how you can help support pollinators, birds, insects and other wildlife in your garden and community.

Following the Q&A, participants will be invited to join the garden club for tea, coffee and home baking in Slamannan Library.

Come along and join us as we celebrate the fantastic green spaces that we’ve planted in the village, and learn how you can help support biodiversity in your own garden!

This is a free, outdoor event, with refreshments to follow, which will be indoors at the Slamannan Library.
