How we collect personal data 

FEL takes your privacy seriously, and your personal information is very important to us. We may collect some of your personal details (such as your name, location, and contact details) if you subscribe to our newsletters, become a member with us, upload messages to our news and events pages, book into one of our events, hire a bike from us, use the Couch to Cycle App, or enquire about our services.  

  

What we do with personal data 

We use your contact details to send you the information you have opted to receive from us – such as membership details and newsletters. 

We may share personal data with our partners, with your consent, for the purpose of providing services to you or responding to your queries. 

We will never sell, rent or otherwise to disclose your personal information to others. 

  

What we do about recording events 

When capturing media at events (photography, filming or audio recording), we seek consent from those who may feature.   

 

Storage of personal details and media captured 

Media:  We use media for approximately five years and then store it securely (password protected) in our media archive for possible future use. 

 

Memberships & Newsletters:  We us your personal details to provide you with membership services and our newsletters. We update or delete your data on request.  All details are held within a password-protected system accessed only by FEL 

 

Event Bookings and Bike Hires: We keep your details for as long as needed for reporting purposes, and will be destroyed after 3 years. All details are held securely within Eventbrite and Hub Tiger for all bookings and hires.  

 

Couch to Cycle App:  We use your personal details to provide you with app services.  The app also accesses location data when the app is working. We update or delete your data on request.  Details are held with the app developer: Vidatec Ltd hello@vidatec.com
