The challenge is a way to encourage walking to work during what can be wet, cold months. Walking and cycling to work is fantastic for not only physical health but also emotional wellbeing, our bank accounts, and it’s also great for the environment too.
Participants were also encouraged to convert miles from swimming and cycling into steps to add to their team’s totals. Additionally, many of the participants also used Treekly, the app that converts steps walked into trees to be planted in the real world. We are awaiting feedback on how many trees will be planted as a result of this app use, but we know already that this challenge has been a net positive overall!
Try the Treekly app for yourself and see how many trees you can plant.
