Stirling is transforming, and you can help make it even better. The Walk, Cycle, Live Stirling project has introduced two major active travel routes that connect key areas of the city. One corridor links Stirling Train Station to the University, and another connects Forth Valley College with the city centre, running beneath Stirling Castle. With over £11 million in funding from the Scottish Government, Sustrans, and the City Region Deal, this project is a major step forward for walking, cycling, and wheeling in the city.

Now, Stirling Council wants to hear from you. A public consultation is open to gather feedback from residents, businesses, and community groups.

Why Your Feedback Matters

Your views will directly influence how these routes develop and improve. Whether you walk, cycle, wheel, or drive, your experience counts. By taking a few minutes to fill in the online survey, you can:

  • Help improve safety, accessibility and comfort for everyone.
  • Highlight any problems or areas for improvement.
  • Share suggestions for better signage, crossings, greenery or bike storage.
  • Influence how future phases of the project are planned and delivered.

How to Take Part

The survey is quick, simple, and open to everyone. Visit the Walk, Cycle, Live Stirling project page on Engage Stirling to take part. The deadline is 31 August 2025.

What the Survey Covers

The survey invites your thoughts on:

  • The quality and usability of the new infrastructure.
  • How easy it is to get from A to B using the new routes.
  • What might be stopping you or others from using them more often.
  • Your ideas for future upgrades or expansions.

It’s open to everyone, whether you use the routes daily or just pass through the city occasionally.

A Greener, Healthier Stirling

This project is about more than just transport. It supports local businesses by improving foot traffic, encourages healthier lifestyles, and helps meet climate goals by reducing car use. Stirling is aiming to become a more connected, sustainable city that works for everyone. Your input will help make that vision a reality.

Take These Three Simple Steps

  1. Fill in the survey – it only takes 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Share the link – with friends, neighbours, colleagues or local groups.
  3. Use the routes – try them out and think about what could be better.

Make your voice heard before 31 August. Visit engage.stirling.gov.uk and take the survey today. Let’s build a healthier, more connected Stirling together.
