Forth Valley Climate Action Hub Grants and Leadership Programme launched!

We’re thrilled to announce that applications are now open for our First Steps & Next Steps Grants and Climate Leadership Programme, thanks to the commitment and generosity of Scottish Government and Foundation Scotland.
Since 2023, we’ve awarded an impressive £133,000 in grants to community groups across Forth Valley and parts of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs area. These funds have helped ignite grassroots climate action, from biodiversity initiatives at Hawkhill Community Centre, where composting, food-growing and upcycling workshops have flourished, to the creative “One Little Step” songwriting project with the Freedom of Mind Community Choir, which has fostered climate awareness through music. We’ve also supported innovative, place-based resilience efforts like the community weather station built in Menstrie to aid flood preparedness.
In 2025, thanks again to support from the Scottish Government, we received further funding to carry forward this vital work. This investment is powering our next phase of grants, training, and local engagement.
This has been boosted by £80,000 awarded to Forth Valley Climate Action Hub by Foundation Scotland earlier this month.
Looking ahead: interested applicants, please note there is no upper limit on the amount you can apply for through the Next Steps Grants. While we’ll request an Enquiry of Interest by 12th September, we can also help guide you through the application process. We want to help communities grow, adapt, and thrive in service of climate resilience.
