Cycle to School Week 2024: Strava Competition
Last week was national Cycle to School Week – across the region, FEL was promoting participation at our schools from pupils and staff alike. A national event like this is a great opportunity to get lots of people making a change at once. Our active travel officers were out at our schools running their usual events while adding a little extra Cycle to School Week magic.
We had a great response to this extra visibility as children flocked to bike breakfasts, lunchtime pop up sessions and had their bikes tuned up by our expert mechanics. What inspired the most excitement though was our Strava competition! Each high school had a group where pupils could log their rides to and from school with Larbert running our eventual winners with the most rides overall!
Congratulations to Larbert who received some fantastic prizes and well done to all who took part, let’s keep cycling to school!
