Linlithgow Academy Hub

The Linlithgow Academy Active Travel Hub will launch at the start of the 2025/26 school year, expanding FEL Scotland’s reach into West Lothian and marking an exciting new chapter for Active Travel in the region.

Delivered in partnership with Linlithgow Community Development Trust (LCDT), this will be a three-year project designed to establish long-term local ownership.

  • Year 1 will focus on establishing the hub and developing strong community engagement, led by FEL Scotland with active involvement from LCDT.
  • Year 2 will support a phased handover, with LCDT gradually taking the lead in delivery while continuing to receive support and mentoring.
  • Year 3 will see LCDT fully own and operate the hub, embedding it as a sustainable community-led resource.

Building on the success of our eight established school hubs, the Linlithgow hub will deliver a refined and diverse range of Active Travel activities to support learning, promote leadership and develop employability skills.
