Falkirk High School Hub

The Falkirk High School Active Travel Hub launched in August 2024, becoming one of three school-based Active Travel Hubs in Falkirk alongside Larbert High School and Grangemouth High School. This Active Travel Hub aims to encourage staff, pupils and parents to travel actively across Falkirk and beyond. The activities delivered in the school help develop Active Travel skills and provide pupils with the confidence to cycle, skate, walk or wheel in their daily life.

The project has been extremely beneficial to the school, with bike maintenance and route planning sessions helping develop life skills for senior phase pupils and early school leavers. An Active Travel Roadshow delivered early in the school year for S1-S3 students was very successful. This provided pupils with the opportunity to try out and gain confidence on different modes of Active Travel, including bikes, scooters and skateboards!
