Alloa Academy Hub

Alloa Academy was the second school in Clackmannanshire to establish an Active Travel School Hub, building on the success of Lornshill Academy. The hub has engaged pupils, staff, and parents through a variety of Active Travel activities, including skateboarding and health walks. Pupils and staff have had the opportunity to trial both electric and non-electric bikes on led rides through the local area.

The Active Travel Hub has also contributed to developing students’ employability by offering SQA bike maintenance sessions, Paths for All accredited Walk Leader training, and work experience opportunities with local organisations. The hub continues to foster strong community partnerships that help students enhance their skills and work readiness.
